I have been practising Yoga for over 20 years & as my body ages I still enjoy flexibility & stamina of my much younger self. I have found over the years my attention to my breath has deepened & my ability to take myself away from the stresses of daily life as a working mum of two boys has become an essential part of my practice. Although I am fit and healthy I have suffered from debilitating self-esteem & body image issues and the thought of naked Yoga initially filled me with terror.
However the experience of being naked in a room of strangers was hugely empowering as I was able to observe my critical voice with such clarity and the practise of Yoga became far more supportive as we were stripped off our masks and opened to our vulnerabilities.
I’m a qualified Yoga instructor with a special interest in posture, movement analysis and the anatomy of breathing. I specialise in correcting faulty movement patterns & work with disabled clients & those recovering from injury. This interest has been born out of my own experience, I was left paralysed after a car accident, the stresses of two pregnancies and the physical strains of carrying two small children around. I have a passion for bringing love & compassion into each practice & encouraging my clients to be kind to themselves.
